02 / THE LAB

The Lab.

A look inside how the records get made — the philosophy, the process, and the tools. Every Blueck track starts with a feeling and a single sound, then gets pushed until it breaks in the right way.

THE PROCESS · 04 STAGES
01
Capture
It always begins with one sound — a field recording, a resampled voice memo, a synth patch found by accident at 3am. If it gives me chills, it stays.
02
Sculpt
The low end gets built first — kick and bass have to feel like one instrument. Everything else is arranged around the weight and the groove.
03
Space
Reverb and silence are instruments too. I spend as long carving out the empty space as I do filling it — the drop only hits if there's darkness around it.
04
Master
Final checks happen on club monitors and cheap earbuds. If it moves air on a big system and still translates on the subway, it's done.

PHILOSOPHY

Every track is a question about tension and release. The bass is the body, the space is the breath, and the melody is the thing you remember on the walk home. If a record doesn't do all three, it doesn't leave the lab.
